WHY DO YOU SHOOT FOR THE LEVITATION PROJECT?

In the early days of The Levitation Project I got the opportunity to shoot and meet everyone involved. The thing that pulled me towards The Levitation Project was that they were so passionate about the snow and the mountains. There are so many companies now that for some reason decide to jump on the snow sports bandwagon and make a quick buck on their new "xtreme pantyhose" and I'm sick of it. What was refreshing about LP is that they are living the lifestyle because they love to snowboard/ski not because the head of their department assigned them to the job. The Levitation Project stays close to the roots of the sport and that's the way it should be.

WHAT MAKES THE LEVITATION PROJECT DIFFERENT?

Its about the passion and the desire to go above the standard.

WHAT IS IT LIKE TO WORK WITH THE STAFF AND TEAM?

It's inspiring to see what everyone brings to the table, it drives you to push your art beyond where you thought it could go.

WHAT ARE YOUR GOALS AS A PHOTOGRAPHER AND HOW DOES BEING A PART OF THE LEVITATION PROJECT HELP THESE GOALS?

My goal as a photographer is to create images that inspire people. Whether its capturing the sunrise with my 4x5 camera or in the city with all my strobes at an urban spot. Levitation brings together all types of people with different skills but with the same fire for the snow and that sparks creativity.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE LEVITATION PROJECT PRODUCT?

Balaclava. All other face masks pale in comparison.

WHAT DOES SNOWBOARDING MEAN TO YOU?

The first time I strapped into my Burton Cruise single tip as a kid I fell in love. Besides photography its been one of the strongest driving forces in my life.

WHERE WERE YOU A YEAR AGO?

Far from where I am now.

WHERE ARE YOU NOW?

Getting to where I want to be.

WHERE WILL YOU BE A YEAR FROM NOW?

Still pushing my photography and learning everyday.
